GEMM Care children’s homes provide accommodation for young people that have emotional, attachment and/or behavioural difficulties which at the time of admission have become extremely challenging so has prevented them from being placed within a family setting. Taking into account safeguarding and promoting the young person's welfare and the young person’s developmental needs

GEMM Care children’s homes focus on child development and preparation for future placement. By preparing young people and giving them the opportunity, to develop independence skills. in order so that they can support themselves emotionally, practically and financially when they leave.

The homes provide the best possible response to the complex needs of children in our care including Challenging Behaviours, Recovery from Trauma, Autistic Spectrum Disorder, and Learning Difficulties 

Rainham - For young people aged between 11-18 years

Chatham - For young people with challenging behaviours up to the age of 19 years

Croydon –For young people with challenging behaviours up to the age of 18

The registered managers will always ensure that each young person’s placement and care plan is maintained and all recommendations are followed out in line with statutory reviews and arrangements set out in the planning meeting.

 

GEMM Care provide care that is as close to the care that is  provided by devoted and responsive parents, having the same expectations and affording the same opportunities given to other children/young people in the local community.
